Changing a Cost Center

1. When you first enter the Cost Center option a Select a Cost Center window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Ledger menu.
• ADD – Select ADD to add a cost center.
• DEFAULT – Select DEFAULT to select the default cost center.
• PRINT – Select PRINT to print a list of cost centers.
• A list of all cost centers defined in the system.

Scroll to the cost center that needs to be changed and press Enter to confirm your selection; the cost center will display.

2. Command options will appear:

• Change – Select Change to make changes to the cost center.
• Delete – Select Delete to delete the cost center.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select A Cost Center window.

Select Change.

3. Make necessary changes to the cost center name and/or status. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the fields. When finished, use the Tab, Enter, Page Down, or arrow keys to move through remaining fields.

4. Command options will appear:

• Update – Select Update to save changes.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select A Cost Center window.

Select Update to save changes.

Note: At least one cost center must be designated as the default cost center. When first installed, Net•Yield creates the default cost center 000000 (ALL). To change the default cost center, select DEFAULT from the Select An Option window, select the Change command option, and then select a new cost center from the window that appears. Select Update to save changes.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
